PRESIDENT 

In charge of planning and running meetings, communicating between all the committees within AMSA as well as other UNLV organizations, organizing and planning important events, coordinating various activities on- and off-campus and other miscellaneous responsibilities.

Participate in the same activities as the President, step in when the President is unavailable, initiate tasks, events, and ideas for AMSA as well as any other miscellaneous responsibilities.

TREASURER

Manage AMSA finances in all aspects.

HISTORIAN

Document and capture all of the memories that AMSA has with its members.

SERGEANT-AT-ARMS

Enforce AMSA policies and regulations to preserve order.

SECRETARY

Keep track of each member’s semester hours, update the spreadsheet on AMSA’s website, file attendance sheets from meetings and events, coordinate with the Sergeant-at-Arms, officers and committees, and participate in other responsibilities as necessary throughout the year.

PHYSICIAN SHADOWING COMMITTEE 

Provide opportunities for students to observe doctor-patient interactions at a clinical setting and set up medical school tours and orientations.

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE 

Organize events for members that will aid in preparing for professional school applications, such as Academic Success Center workshops, research opportunities, and other academic opportunities.

FUNDRAISING COMMITTEE

Organize monthly events to help raise money for local charities in order to give back to the Las Vegas community.

HUMANITARIAN COMMITTEE 

Responsible for finding, planning, and organizing volunteer opportunities for AMSA, sending e-mail confirmations to members, and adding events to the calendar. The committee oversees more than 100 events a year, and must manage the e-mail account, members list, website, and communication with organization partners accordingly.

RECRUITMENT COMMITTEE

Responsible for advertising AMSA, conducting group interviews to carefully recruit new prospective members, as well as contacting and informing them about the rules and requirements to be an AMSA member.

Responsible for organizing social and wellness events focusing on the mental and physical well-being of AMSA members.
